About the event

You Could Lose Everything

As a gun owner, if you have already decided that you will take up arms to protect your family, property, business, and community, this educational event is not optional; it is an essential part of your emergency preparedness.  Taking up arms during a period of civil unrest and not understanding the law could result in prosecution and the risk of losing everything.  This new program builds on the US LawShield introductory training class.  The class is $5.00 for US LawShield members and $10 for non-members.  Please register online today by clicking here.

Why Attend this Event?

  1. Ignorance of the law is not a legal excuse;
  2. The legal system can be very hostile toward gun owners; and
  3. Responsible gun owners get thrown into the legal system every single day.

Guest Speaker: Attorney James Cook

Mr. Cook is a Criminal Defense attorney with Anderson and Carnahan practicing out of Colorado Springs. Mr. Cook passed the Colorado Bar on his first attempt in 2010 and has served as a full time prosecutor for the El Paso County Court and as the lone Deputy DA for the Teller County Court.  In 2013 Mr. Cook joined Anderson and Carnahan which has afforded him the opportunity to pursue his passion for firearms law. Mr. Cook is committed to the 2nd Amendment and to representing people through the current political assaults against lawful gun owners.

Guest Speaker: Timothy Hightshoe, Law Enforcement Officer

Mr. Hightshoe is currently a Deputy and Range Master with the El Paso County Sheriff's Department.  He is responsible for Firearms Training for over 500 sown and 250 civilian employees.  Within the las year, Mr. Hightshoe has initiated one of the largest equipment changes of any agency in the country with the move to red do sights.  Mr. Hightshoe also has extensive Special Forces military and combat experience, having served as a forward controller in the Air Force.
